La rivière Biga Çayı ou Kocabaş Çayı est l'antique Granique ou Granicos est un fleuve côtier dans la province de Çanakkale. Il prend sa source sur les flancs du Mont Ida . Elle a son embouchure dans la mer de Marmara, à proximité de Karabiga .
Le Granicos/Granique est présenté comme l'un des 25 fils de Téthys et d'Océan, cités par Hésiode dans sa Théogonie, où il relate la création du monde :
