Toretsk est une ville minière de l'oblast de Donetsk, en Ukraine. Sa population s'élevait à 35 296 habitants en 2013.
La ville s'est développée à partir du milieu du XIXe siècle lorsque l'exploitation du charbon a commencé. Elle s'est appelée Chtcherbynivka ou Chtcherbinovka . En 1938—2016, elle reçut le statut de ville et fut renommée Dzerjynsk en l'honneur de l'ancien chef du NKVD, la police secrète soviétique, Félix Dzerjinski. La ville connaît une important activité minière qui est à l'origine d'une forte pollution.
