Le vol 585 United Airlines était un vol entre Peoria dans l'Illinois et Colorado Springs, via Denver aux États-Unis le 3 mars 1991.
Avec l'accident du vol 585 United Airlines le 3 mars 1991, c'est l'une des plus longues enquêtes du NTSB qui aillait commencer. En effet, en plein vol le Boeing 737 a subitement penché à droite sans raison apparente. Le gouvernail de l'appareil est resté bloqué malgré les efforts des pilotes. L'avion devint incontrôlable et piqua du nez à tel point que l'accélération a atteint 4 g.
