Bad Ischl è un comune austriaco di 13 895 abitanti nel distretto di Gmunden, in Alta Austria; ha lo status di città ed è il centro più popoloso del distretto.
Situata a 50 chilometri ad est di Salisburgo e 25 da Gmunden, Bad Ischl si trova nella parte centro-occidentale dell'area forestale del Salzkammergut. Nel suo territorio passa il fiume Alm, affluente del Traun.
