Tulfes è un comune nel distretto di Innsbruck-Land nella regione del Tirolo con 1689 abitanti. Il comune si trova nel distretto giudiziario di Hall in Tirolo. Tulfes si trova su una terrazza montana a 6 km da Hall e 12 km da Innsbruck, ai piedi del Glungezer alto 2677 m. Il territorio comunale si estende dal fondovalle dell'Inn attraverso la media montagna fino alla valle di Voldertal, ma comprende solo il lato sinistro della valle, mentre il lato destro appartiene a Volders.
