Le gravine sono incisioni erosive dalle ripide pareti o specie di canyon scavate nella roccia dalle acque di un torrente. Nel corso di questa tappa si incontrano spesso gravine, tanto quanto forcelle, valichi, ripide falde erbose e pietrischi, il tutto sempre accompagnato da un magnifico panorama. Prima il sentiero conduce lungo un pendio scosceso in discesa verso la valle Parseiertal. Si recupera presto il dislivello risalendo verso il Langkar fino alla forcella Grießlscharte. Dopo il valico Winterjöchl il sentiero porta dietro allo Stierkopf e continua su roccia fino alla forcella Kopfscharte. Da qui si prosegue attraverso pendii erbosi verso sud fino al rifugio Ansbacher Hütte.
