Per uno squisito formaggio grigio si affrontano volentieri le fatiche di un percorso di 11 chilometri da Scharnitz fino alla malga Mösl Alm, che si trova nel Karwendel sul versante nord della catena Nordkette di Innsbruck. Naturalmente non è solo il formaggio che attira ogni estate così tante persone alla malga Mösl Alm. La seconda ragione è la natura: Grandi boschi, ruscelli irruenti, rocce scoscese, romantiche gole selvagge e dolci pascoli incantano i visitatori, ma anche i malgari, che non possono immaginarsi un luogo più bello al mondo.
La Mösl Alm si raggiunge da Scharnitz, vicino alla chiesa c'è un grande parcheggio a pagamento. Da lì il sentiero porta lungo il fiume Isar verso le valli del Karwendel.
