Gingelom è un paese e un comune nella provincia belga di Limburg. Il comune conta oltre 8000 abitanti. Gingelom fa parte del cantone elettorale e del cantone giudiziario di Sint-Truiden. Il villaggio storicamente apparteneva al Principato di Liegi ed era governato dalla tavola vescovile. I diritti feudali passarono nel 1620 dal sindaco di Liegi Laurens van Dormael al Capitolo di San Giovanni di Liegi, che possedeva già numerosi beni sparsi a Gingelom fin dal XII secolo. Nel 1717 Bernard van Stieren divenne signore e dal 1758 i baroni de Chokier furono i signori di Gingelom.
