Nel 1862 il castello fu costruito dall'architetto Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar (1811-1881). Sulla pendice davanti al lago del parco si può vedere un'opera architettonica con caratteristiche nello stile neo-tudor inglese. Questo stile neo-gotico mostra molte influenze di altri stili architettonici, come elementi di forma romanica e classica. Il fiabesco castello è composto da due piani e nove campate tra due pesanti torri angolari. L'insieme acquista un carattere ludico grazie ai torrettini, ai merloni, ai tetti a forma di pera delle torri, alle feritoie, agli archi e ai merloni sulla facciata. E cerca pure se è vero che nel castello è nascosto un calendario annuale: 365 finestre, 52 porte, 12 torri e 7 scale! Nel 1923 il comune acquistò il castello dal barone de Viron. Un anno dopo i residenti di Dilbeek poterono utilizzare per la prima volta il municipio nel precedente castello.
