Qui si erge la cattedrale principale della diocesi di Hasselt, ovvero la Cattedrale di Sant'Quintino. Nell'ottavo secolo, sul sito della Cattedrale di Sant'Quintino si trovava la prima chiesetta primitiva lungo il Helbeek, il nucleo dell'antica Hasselt. Nel 1967, con la costituzione della diocesi di Hasselt, questa chiesa divenne cattedrale o chiesa episcopale. Questo monumento romanico-gotico protetto, situato in Vismarkt/Fruitmarkt, ospita anche il museo delle campane con la sua imponente torre.
