Meise è un comune e un luogo nella provincia fiamminga del Brabante e nell'arrondissement di Halle-Vilvoorde. Il comune conta quasi 20.000 abitanti. Il comune fa parte dei Kouters brabantesi e della Cintura Verde. Meise è il capoluogo del circondario giudiziario e elettorale omonimo. Nel 1876 sono stati trovati a Meise un'ascia di selce e tre schegge di selce. Questi appartenevano a cacciatori-raccoglitori, datati nel Neolitico, che vivevano in queste zone all'epoca densamente boschive.
