Il castello, oggi chiamato "De Hoef", è un edificio a tre ali che risale presumibilmente a metà del XVII secolo. Le parti più antiche dell'edificio sono la zona residenziale principale e l'ala laterale orientale. L'ala occidentale sembra essere di data più recente e potrebbe risalire alla fine del XVIII, inizio del XIX secolo. È certo che la fattoria sia stata ristrutturata in modo sostanziale nella prima metà del XIX secolo. In quel periodo sono state create le grandi aperture delle finestre nell'ala principale. In particolare sul lato nord le ex fosse d'acqua sono ancora facilmente riconoscibili. / Nel 1985 la Comunità fiamminga acquisì la proprietà e il bene ricevette una nuova destinazione come hotel-ristorante. Come "Hostellerie Hof de Draeck" con camere eleganti e una cucina di alto livello, l'istituzione ha fatto moda da allora.
