Così, Johannes Cordier, probabilmente originario di Bruges, dal 1468 cantava nella Cappella Sistina per il papa e altri invitati. Dopo alcune peregrinazioni a Napoli e Milano, dove divenne piuttosto ricco, tornò a Bruges per diventare canonico nella chiesa di San Donato e lavorare per il duca di Borgogna.
