La chiesa attuale risale al 1764. La chiesa precedente fu distrutta da un incendio il giorno di Natale del 1763. Il patrono di Ledegem è San Pietro in Catene. Questo è adorato per ciò che comunemente viene chiamato "la ruota di Caterina". La chiesa possiede un bellissimo pulpito e quattro confessionali, così come alcuni preziosi dipinti. "La resurrezione di Lazzaro" di Joseph Ducq (Ledegem 1762 - Bruges 1829) risale al 1800 ed è una copia di un dipinto del XVII secolo. Joseph Ducq è senza dubbio il più famoso pittore di Ledegem. La chiesa di San Pietro è stata dichiarata monumento il 23 luglio 1993.
