Linkhout è un villaggio sul Demer nella provincia belga di Limburgo ed è una frazione del comune di Lummen. Fino all'epoca francese, Linkhout faceva parte della baronia di Lummen, insieme a Koersel, Schulen e Stokrooie. La baronia di Lummen era sotto il dominio di Loon fino al 1331, ma soprattutto il Ducato di Brabante aveva qui una grande influenza. Anche l'Abbazia di Sint-Truiden aveva possedimenti qui.
