Linkhout is a village on the Demer in the Belgian province of Limburg and a part of the municipality of Lummen.Until the French period, Linkhout was part of the barony of Lummen, together with Koersel, Schulen and Stokrooie. The barony of Lummen was under Loon rule until 1331, but the Duchy of Brabant in particular also had a great influence here. The Abbey of Sint-Truiden also had possessions here.
