Olmen è un comune nel province belga di Antwerpen e un frazione di Balen. Olmen era un comune autonomo fino alla riorganizzazione comunale del 1977. Della storia di Olmen si sa poco, solo alcuni ritrovamenti celtici e romani ne testimoniano. Nel 1288 il villaggio era un allodiale al confine orientale del Ducato di Brabante. Il diritto di patronato e il diritto della decima erano in possesso dell'Abbazia di Postel, all'epoca ancora una prioria.
