Dikkebus è un villaggio nella provincia belga di West-Vlaanderen e una frazione della città di Ieper dal riordino comunale del 1977. Il villaggio conta circa 1500 abitanti. Il borgo Krommenelst si trova nel territorio di Vlamertinge, ma fa anche parte della parrocchia di Dikkebus.
Il nome significa 'cespuglio fitto', la prima costruzione a Dikkebus sarebbe stata un capanno per cacciatori nel mezzo dei boschi. Dei boschi di un tempo non è rimasto praticamente nulla, soprattutto durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale è stata abbattuta molta legna. Il nome Dikkebus appare per la prima volta nel 1072 quando un cavaliere di nome Fulpold e sua moglie Ramburga fondarono case monastiche in un luogo chiamato Thiggebusch. A Arras c'è un documento del 13 ottobre 1093 in cui compare il nome Thicebus. Anche negli scritti dell'abbazia di Voormezele il nome appare più volte.
