Laarne possiede uno dei castelli d'acqua più belli, antichi e fiabeschi delle Fiandre. Le parti più antiche risalgono già al XIII secolo. Vale assolutamente la pena di visitarlo, non solo per gli affreschi medievali nella cappella, gli arazzi e la famosa collezione di argento di Claude d'Allemagne. Durante i processi contro le streghe nel 1607, presunte streghe furono rinchiuse qui.
