Nel comune di Dikkebus furono create durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale 3 cimiteri militari britannici. Inizialmente anche gli britannici erano sepolti nel cimitero, ma queste tombe sono state rimosse. Il 'Old Military Cemetery' fu iniziato come cimitero di linea del fronte e fu utilizzato dalle truppe a gennaio, febbraio e marzo 1915. Contiene le tombe di 47 militari della Prima Guerra Mondiale. I 78 militari francesi, che qui erano anch'essi sepolti, furono rimossi dopo la guerra. Nel maggio 1940 furono sepolti altri 10 britannici, morti a causa della ritirata a Dunkerque (maggio - giugno 1940).
