L'aeroporto dispone di una pista asfaltata lunga 799 metri e di una pista erbosa lunga 655 metri. È la base di un club di piloti di aliante, piloti di aerei a motore, modellisti e paracadutisti. Le discariche minerarie che si trovano accanto all'aeroporto sono per loro punti di riferimento. Il proprietario dell'aeroporto è 'Koninklijke Aeroclub Limburgse Vleugels vzw', un club di volo dove possono trovarsi sia i piloti di aliante che quelli di aerei a motore e modellisti. L'aeroclub è anche una vera scuola di volo, dove è possibile conseguire la licenza per pilota di aerei a motore [PPL] e/o la licenza per pilota di aliante [SPL]. È anche possibile seguire vari corsi di formazione avanzata come il MEP, un corso che insegna a pilotare aerei con più motori a pistone.
