Nel piazza del villaggio di Etikhove, il 12 settembre 1926, è stata organizzata una 'fiera del maiale' in occasione dell'apertura ufficiale del nuovo laboratorio di tessitura "Société de Tapis d'Art De Saedeleer et C°", in cui sia Valerius De Saedeleer che le sue figlie hanno avuto un ruolo importante. Il numero degli invitati a questa fiera del maiale è stato stimato in 400; c'erano molti ospiti illustri dal mondo politico e culturale, tra cui l'architetto Henri Vandevelde, il ministro Wouters, Stijn Streuvels, Geo Verbanck, Edgard Tytgat, Georges Creten, Albert Saverys, ...
