Le 12 septembre 1926, une « foire aux cochons » est organisée sur la place du village d’Etikhove à la suite de l’ouverture officielle du nouvel atelier de tissage « Société de Tapis d’Art De Saedeleer et C° », dans laquelle Valerius De Saedeleer et ses filles jouent un rôle important. Le nombre d’invités à cette foire aux cochons a été estimé à 400; il y avait de nombreux invités de marque du monde politique et culturel, dont l’architecte Henri Vandevelde, le ministre Wouters, Stijn Streuvels, Geo Verbanck, Edgard Tytgat, Georges Creten, Albert Saverys, ...
