Hoeve, nel XIV secolo anche chiamata Hof ter Paelt e nel XV secolo Ter Beke dal vicino Paeltbeek, oggi Zennekensbeek. Come la Kleine Krankenhoeve e la "Nieuwe Krankhoeve" (vedi Bonheiden), è di proprietà dell'ospedale delle Begijn di Mechelen e a causa delle vaste terre agricole a Peulis, Bonheiden e Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Waver, è chiamata "Grote Krankhoeve"; quando la proprietà passò in possesso delle begijn non è noto, ma la fattoria è già menzionata nei loro più antichi registri di censi del 1340.
