Si tratta di una cappella di pellegrinaggio in stile gotico, i cui elementi più antichi potrebbero risalire al XIII o XIV secolo. Nel XVI secolo la cappella subì alcune modifiche. Nel 1812 la cappella venne utilizzata come stalla e magazzino, e alla fine del XIX secolo venivano conservati carbone di pietra. Nel 1896 il tetto crollò e l'edificio divenne una rovina. Nel 1913 la cappella passò in possesso della parrocchia e nel 1927 venne restaurata. Nel 1928 la cappella fu nuovamente consacrata.
