La storia di produzione propria inizia nel 40° anniversario di matrimonio di Jos e Ria. La coppia proviene da Duffel (Anversa). Poco dopo il matrimonio, Ria ereditò una fattoria a 'Wietschoate' e la coppia si trasferì in Fiandra Occidentale. Questa fattoria è la casa di Jos e Ria nella serie. Qui si vede, tra l'altro, la scena in cui Frank torna a casa con Julita, dopo di che Ria corre fuori per darle il benvenuto e la scena in cui Ria gioca a carte con Chantal Vantomme, agente di polizia e amica di famiglia, che ama venire a far visita per una tazza di caffè con biscotti.
