Xhout-si-Plout è un villaggio belga nel comune di Manhay, situato a nord della provincia del Lussemburgo.
La tradizione racconta che il villaggio un tempo contava diverse fucine, la cui forza era fornita dal corso d'acqua locale, il cui flusso era irregolare, a seconda del meteo. L'espressione wallona Hoûte-s'i-Ploût venne data al maestro di una fucina per aiutare il suo lavoratore a prevedere il flusso dell'acqua e così far funzionare la sua fucina. Questa stessa espressione si riferirebbe anche all'altro villaggio Houte-Si-Plou nel comune di Neupré nella provincia di Liegi.
