Orbix Solutions è un pioniere nella riduzione gigantesca delle emissioni di CO2 nell'industria delle costruzioni. A livello mondiale, l'industria del cemento è responsabile del 7% delle emissioni di CO2. Qui producono blocchi per costruzioni a base di scorie metalliche (residui dell'estrazione di metalli dai minerali). Inoltre, viene anche immagazzinata CO2 nelle pietre. Per ogni peso di pietra, circa il 10% di CO2 viene immagazzinato in modo permanente. E nella produzione di queste pietre, a differenza del cemento classico, viene prodotta anche molto poca CO2. Viene imitato un processo della natura, ossia la produzione di marmo. Il processo è stato elaborato da VITO.
