Il passo San Bernardino collega il Mesocco di lingua italiana con Splügen di lingua tedesca e si trova sulla spartiacque tra il bacino del Po a sud e quello del Reno a nord. L'altezza del passo è di 2.065 m e la lunghezza del passo è di 33 km. Il percorso offre splendide vedute sul tipico paesaggio svizzero: piccoli laghi di montagna, cascate e enormi boschi di abeti.
