L'Institut Florimont fu fondato nel 1905 dalla Congrégation des Missionnaires de Saint François de Sales, poco dopo che una legge in Francia proibiva le congregazioni religiose di qualsiasi convinzione. L'Institut Florimont iniziò come collegio cattolico privato francofono per ragazzi; Ora è co-ed e aperto a studenti diurni esterni.
La scuola è diretta da un laico dal 1995 e dal 1978 accoglie ragazze al II livello. Nel 1995, l'intera scuola è diventata co-ed e le classi prescolari sono state aperte.
