È il club più titolato della 1. liga, la massima divisione del panorama calcistico nazionale. Divisa da un'acerrima rivalità dalla concittadina Slavia Praga, è stata storicamente la squadra che ha fornito più giocatori alle nazionali di Cecoslovacchia prima e di Rep. Ceca poi.
