Neukirch/Lausitz è un luogo e il comune corrispondente nel sud-est dello stato della Sassonia. Appartiene al distretto di Bautzen e si trova immerso tra due catene montuose dell'Alto Lusazia ai piedi del densamente boscoso Valtenberg alto 587 m.
Il Valtenberg è la montagna di casa di Neukirch. Da esso sorga il fiume Wesenitz che scorre attraverso Neukirch. Le città più grandi nei dintorni sono Bautzen e Bischofswerda.
I comuni limitrofi sono Doberschau-Gaußig, Wilthen e Steinigtwolmsdorf con le frazioni Ringenhain e Weifa nel distretto di Bautzen, Neustadt in Sassonia nel distretto di Sassonia Svizzera-Osterzgebirge e Schmölln-Putzkau nel distretto di Bautzen.
