Heuthen è un comune nel consorzio amministrativo di Leinetal nel distretto di Eichsfeld, in Turingia.
La prima menzione documentale risale a un atto di donazione dei signori di Kirchberg dell'anno 1146. Due menzioni più antiche, intorno al 724 durante il tempo di Bonifacio e intorno al 950, non possono essere comprovate con un documento. Heuthen è uno dei villaggi più antichi della regione. Il luogo appartenne fino alla secolarizzazione alla Curia di Magonza, dal 1815 al 1945 il luogo fece parte della provincia prussiana di Sassonia.
