Güdingen si trova a circa 4 km a sud-sud-est del centro di Saarbrücken lungo il fiume Saar. Il centro del paese si trova sulla riva destra, mentre a sinistra c’è una grande area industriale e un ippodromo. A sud-ovest il paese confina con la regione francese della Lorena, a sud-est con il quartiere di Bübingen. A est si trova Fechingen, a nord-est Brebach e a nord-ovest Sankt Arnual.
