Fallersleben è un quartiere di Wolfsburg nel Bassa Sassonia, che si affaccia sul torrente Mühlenriede. Prima che Fallersleben fosse incorporata nella città di Wolfsburg durante la riforma territoriale del 1972, era una città nel distretto di Gifhorn. I diritti di città furono concessi nel 1929.
Il nome Valareslebo, menzionato nel 942, si compone di due parti. Il suffisso -leb-o, molto diffuso nel sassone orientale, oggi -leben, deriva dal termine germanico "laiba", che significa "proprietà ereditaria, possesso di terra". Il proprietario di questo terreno, cioè "Valares", fornì la parte anteriore per il nome del luogo, ovvero della popolazione.
