Visselhövede [ˌfɪsl̩ˈhøːvədə] è una cittadina nel distretto di Rotenburg, Niedersachsen, al confine occidentale della Heide di Lüneburg.
Visselhövede si trova a circa 70 metri sul livello del mare, sul crinale della morena terminale di Neuenkirchen, che limita la Südheide a nord-ovest e si eleva di circa 50 metri sopra la valle del Wümme. La massima elevazione è il Höllenberg nella frazione di Drögenbostel, con 93,4 m sopra NHN. In un parco al centro della città nasce con una forte sorgente il fiume Vissel. Nel territorio comunale si trovano inoltre le aree sorgentizie della Lehrde, un affluente di destra dell'Aller, della Warnau e della Rodau che scorre verso il Wümme.
