La Sparkasse Rotenburg Osterholz è nata dalla fusione della precedente Kreissparkasse Osterholz con la Sparkasse Rotenburg-Bremervörde nei distretti di Osterholz e Rotenburg il 1° gennaio 2018. Il suo territorio di competenza si trova nel triangolo Elbe-Weser nel nordest della Bassa Sassonia.
La Sparkasse Rotenburg Osterholz è un'istituzione di diritto pubblico.
