L'abbazia di Varensell presso Rietberg nel distretto di Gütersloh è un monastero benedettino femminile nell'arcidiocesi di Paderborn. L'abbazia appartiene alla Congregazione di Beuron.
Varensell fu fondata nel 1902 come priorato delle benedettine del Santissimo Sacramento. Le prime sorelle provenivano dal monastero di Maria Hamicolt presso Dülmen. Nel 1948 Varensell fu elevata a abbazia e da allora non fa più parte delle benedettine del Santissimo Sacramento. Fin dall'inizio esisteva un stretto legame tra il convento e la parrocchia, che si esprime anche in un utilizzo comune della chiesa parrocchiale e abbaziale. Una nuova chiesa è stata consacrata il 22 settembre 1956. In seguito, il convento si orientò maggiormente verso lo stile di vita e le costituzioni della Congregazione di Beuron, e nel 1982 l'abbazia di Varensell è stata accolta nella Congregazione di Beuron.
