L'area protetta delle dune sulla scogliera rossa / Sylt si trova nell'isola frisoniana settentrionale di Sylt. L'area protetta inizia dal limite nord della costruzione di Wenningstedt e prosegue verso Kampen, dove comprende l'intera zona tra la costruzione e la spiaggia di sabbia occidentale, ovvero quell'area situata sopra la scogliera rossa. La sua superficie è di 177 ha ed è stata designata nel 1979. La designazione come area protetta è avvenuta nel 1985. Il suo codice CDDA è 81561.
