La miniera di Luisenthal era una miniera di carbone fossile nel quartiere Luisenthal di Völklingen, che avviò l'attività nel 1820 e interruppe l'estrazione di carbone il 17 giugno 2005. La miniera è diventata nota per il più grave incidente minerario nella storia della Repubblica Federale, in cui il 7 febbraio 1962 morirono 299 minatori.
