La stazione di Ueckermünde era originariamente il capolinea della linea ferroviaria Jatznick–Ueckermünde nella città portuale omonima a sud-est del centro città. Dal 2009, i treni continuano a circolare su una vecchia linea di collegamento portuale. Qui sono stati creati due nuovi punti di fermata: Ueckermünde alla stazione degli autobus e Ueckermünde Stadthafen, situato vicino al centro storico e direttamente al porto cittadino. La vecchia stazione di Ueckermünde è stata abbandonata. Il suo edificio principale e alcuni edifici secondari sono sotto tutela monumentale.
La stazione al chilometro della linea 162,3 è stata inaugurata il 15 settembre 1884 insieme all'intera linea. Dalla stazione è stata costruita una linea di collegamento verso il porto di Ueckermünde in direzione nord-ovest.
Nel 1952, presso la stazione di Ueckermünde lavorò la prima dirigente donna della Deutsche Reichsbahn.
