Il Reichssicherheitsdienst era una struttura delle SS nel Terzo Reich durante l'epoca del nazismo, responsabile della protezione personale di Adolf Hitler e successivamente di altre personalità di alto rango del regime nazista. Il RSD esistette dal 1935 al 1945.
Il Reichssicherheitsdienst fu fondato il 15 marzo 1933 come "Führerschutzkommando" e ribattezzato "Reichssicherheitsdienst" il 1° agosto 1935. I suoi membri inizialmente consistevano in appartenenti alla Polizia Bavarese e svolgevano le mansioni di protezione personale per il dittatore solo all'interno dei confini statali bavaresi. Fuori dalla Baviera, questo compito era svolto dal cosiddetto SS-Begleitkommando del Führer, un gruppo di guardie del corpo inizialmente composto da otto persone. A partire dal 1935, il RSD fu ampiamente potenziato come struttura ufficiale del "Begleitkommando". Dal 1938, i membri del RSD indossavano uniformi SS di colore grigio campo.
