Gut Isselhorst, una storica residenza signorile del 1691, si trova in mezzo a un'estesa natura e paesaggio culturale nel quartiere Obrighoven di Wesel, vicino all'Issel, che sgorga a pochi chilometri di distanza. È circondata da un doppio sistema di fossati.
In un'area aperta, ispirata al parco paesaggistico inglese, si trova la storica casa principale del 1691 con la sua slanciata torre a quattro piani, che rivela l'anno di costruzione grazie ai suoi ancoraggi murari. Nel 1897, la casa principale è stata ampliata con un'ala in forme storiciste. La scalinata ondulata sul lato nord-ovest rimanda ancora al vecchio accesso attraverso un sistema di tre ponti.
