Il fiume Guadalest è un fiume del sud del Paese Valenciano che attraversa la Vall de Guadalest ed è il principale affluente del fiume Algar.<brNasce per la confluenza dei torrenti di Fabara e Beniardà, al port di Confrides, tra i monti della Serrella e Aitana. Come la maggior parte delle ramblas e fiumi mediterranei, il Guadalest si caratterizza per l'irregolarità interannuale del suo deflusso, con un lungo periodo di magra in estate e le piene durante le stagioni piovose d'autunno e primavera. Con l'obiettivo di regolare il fiume per proteggere i comuni della sua valle dalle piene, è stato costruito l'invaso di Guadalest che consente l'approvvigionamento d'acqua per la popolazione e l'irrigazione. Attualmente il turismo della zona costiera della comarca è la principale domanda.
