La stazione degli autobus è stata costruita dal comune di Alicante ed è stata aperta il 1 settembre 2011, quando gradualmente i servizi forniti dalla vecchia stazione, situata nel cuore della città, sono stati trasferiti, fino alla chiusura definitiva del 13 settembre 2011.
