Son Cladera è un quartiere di Palma, situato tra la Indioteria, Son Fuster e Son Rutlan, che deve il nome alla proprietà che esisteva prima che venisse urbanizzato il quartiere. Cladera è derivato, possibilmente, da cleda, quindi è possibile che si dovesse scrivere Cledera.
Il quartiere di Son Cladera è emerso negli anni 1964-66, quando furono urbanizzati i terreni della proprietà di Son Cladera e furono costruiti grandi edifici di edilizia popolare. Si tratta di un insieme di blocchi ortogonali, identici e distribuiti in modo regolare che hanno interrotto la fisionomia rurale della zona. Più tardi furono urbanizzati altri terreni che non facevano parte della proprietà ma che oggi sono considerati parte del quartiere, come la zona di Can Roses, e anche adesso c'è qualche zona rurale, verso il confine con Marratxí.
