Con una facciata monumentale di linee e volumi tagliati, la Iglesia de la Encarnación si erge sopra il resto degli edifici di Olvera.
La chiesa è una costruzione neoclassica, voluta dai duchi di Osuna alla fine del 1700 e completata nel 1843, in seguito alla demolizione nel 1822 dell'antica chiesa omonima.
La parte superiore della facciata è chiusa con l'orologio. Questo è un elemento caratteristico del municipio , ma non ne ha. Pertanto, nel 1902 fu costruito un orologio sulla facciata della chiesa. Questo elemento fu pagato dal municipio.
L' altare maggiore è dedicato al santo patrono di Olvera, San José.
