Siamo in quello che era il suk nel Medioevo.
Dopo il 1531 fu dato il nome Patio de las Comedias perché vi si svolgevano spettacoli teatrali . Sullo sfondo c'è un belvedere accanto ad una delle torri rimaste dell'antica cinta muraria, la Torre di San Rafael . In questa torre troviamo una casa rupestre che viene utilizzata come sede di una delle più antiche confraternite della settimana di Pasqua a Iznajeña, la Confraternita degli Apostoli.
Il Patio de las Comedias ha vinto diversi primi premi nei concorsi della Mancomunidad de la Subbética e della Diputación de Córdoba.
