Estamos en lo que fue el zoco en la Edad Media.
A partir de 1531 se le dio el nombre de Patio de las Comedias porque en él se realizaban representaciones teatrales . Al fondo hay un mirador junto a una de las torres que quedan de la antigua muralla, la Torre de San Rafael . En esta torre encontramos una casa cueva que es utilizada como sede de una de las cofradías más antiguas de la Semana Santa en Iznajeña, la Cofradía de los Apóstoles.
El Patio de las Comedias ha ganado varios primeros premios en concursos de la Mancomunidad de la Subbética y la Diputación de Córdoba.
