Pamiers è un comune francese di 16.468 abitanti situato nel dipartimento dell'Ariège nella regione dell'Occitania, sede di sottoprefettura. La cittadina possiede due chiese di un certo pregio entrambe trecentesche ed entrambe rifatte nel XVII secolo: Notre-Dame-du-Camp e St-Antonin.
Reperti archeologici quali monete o statuette testimoniano per certa l'esistenza di un insediamento romano, ma la facile difendibilità del luogo e il suo essere tappa di commercio fra Atlantico e Mediterraneo fanno supporre che il luogo fosse abitato anche in precedenza.
